If you are here reading this blog post right now due to your quest of knowing if God would really forgive you for that sin you’ve been committing over time, I’m glad to tell you that God will forgive you, there’s no limit to God’s grace. Does God really forgive the same sin over and over again? Yes, He forgives but it goes beyond getting His forgiveness each and every time. Don’t you want yourself out of that sin?
Are you not saved?
Are you saved? What I mean by that is, do you believe in Jesus Christ and accept Him as your Lord and Saviour? If you do not, it’s important you do, as God’s beckoning unto you to surrender to Him and He’ll give you a new life.
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Say with me, “Lord Jesus Christ, I believe you came to Earth, died for my sins and rose up again. I believe you are the Son of God. I accept you as my Lord and saviour. Forgive me of my sins and give me a new life in you”
If you just said that prayer, I welcome you into the family of God. God’s forgiven of your sins!
Find a Bible believing church, grow your faith by spending time studying the Bible and praying.
Does God forgive repeated sins?
Yes, He does but God doesn’t want you to stay in that sin.
1 John 2:1-2
My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
Don’t allow the devil make you feel like God won’t forgive you any more. You feel like you’ve done too much of that sin that God can not forgive you again? No, don’t allow the devil make you believe that.
God wants you free from that sin, why not go to Him for forgiveness and healing. He’ll forgive and you will live over that sin.
Don’t defile what it means to repent.
Repentance simply means you’re turning from your old ways, and you’ve decided to go another way. Would we call it repentance if you keep going round in the cycle of turning back away from the old ways and then stumble back into it? No, it would not be right to call it repentance .
St. Matthew 3:8
Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:
It’s Just Like Hurting God When You Fall Back
I know you have tried. You even promised God not to do it anymore? I know you didn’t want to do it but the demands of your flesh overrode you. You hurt God each time you fall back into that same pit of sin. Don’t break God’s heart any longer. He loves you, and all He wants is reciprocation.
Nevertheless, He still loves you and doesn’t want you to stay back in your sim. Don’t let the guilt of sin hold you back from God’s saving grace.
Stop Trying On Your Own.
Look, we have no power of our own to do anything. You have to stop turning to yourself to stop doing what you do. Don’t also think you can solve your sin problem, and go to God later. Why not go to God with your baggage and let Him work on you.
God’s grace and strength is very much enough for you. Why not turn to God? Be real with Him. There’s no point hiding from Him. Break down in His presence, tell Him your weakness. Don’t doubt if He’s hearing, because He is. You’re dear to His heart, if it were not so, He wouldn’t send Jesus Christ to die for your sins.
Do you understand? Get yourself together, go to God in prayers. Be very honest with Him, tell Him your pains, don’t hide it. Tell Him you’ve been having hard time with that particular sin, telling him to forgive you and grant you the strength to live above it.
Soak Yourself in the Word of God (Bible) and Pray Without Season
Soak yourself in the Word of God and meditate on it day and night. Renew your mind daily. Pray always, pray about everything, even to the littlest thing you can think of. God will love to have a relationship with you, an intimate one.
This way, His nature in you is expressed out you. You live the life of God. It will be real hard for sin to take you down. Even when temptations come, you spit out the word of God and the Devil flee.
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
By doing this everyday, praying and studying God’s word. You’re growing and strength of God’s been deposited for you to live above that sin. You are dead to sin.
When temptations come, learn to confess God’s word about the victory God had given you over sin.
Now that the Grace and Strength is made available.
Once you have prayed God’s strength and grace to live above that sin, I want you to have faith and believe it has been made available.
Temptations may arise, you must learn to confront with God’s word. The urge may be strong but be reminded that God’s strength is already available for you to overcome.
2 Corinthians 12:9
But He said to me, My grace (My favor and loving-kindness and mercy) is enough for you [sufficient against any danger and enables you to bear the trouble manfully]; for My strength and power are made perfect (fulfilled and completed) and show themselves most effective in [your] weakness. Therefore, I will all the more gladly glory in my weaknesses and infirmities, that the strength and power of Christ (the Messiah) may rest (yes, may pitch a tent over and dwell) upon me!
Stay with God and keep your gaze on Him.
The devil may try to make you stop praying, flesh may want get in the way. Bank on God’s strength to stay with Him. Keep studying the Word of God- the Bible and pray without season.
God forgive sins, even the ones that besets you, the one regarded as repeated sins here. But beyond forgiveness, turn away from those sins by the strength of God.
Remember you can’t do God’s will in your strength, submit to God, resist the devil and he’s going to run away from you. Build your relationship with God, study the word of God daily and pray daily.
